Why we are different from a man trap!

A man trap is a TRAP!  If you do not know about the trap it may kill you as some styles do!

A non killing trap detains a man so others can collect him.

Some sophisticated traps let authorized men OUT!  These units require some kind of identification to get out. This could be an ID card scanned in a reader. It could be a fingerprint reader.  It could be a retina scanner. Any method of identification will work

But without the correct ID the man is stuck. TRAPPED.

The ID requirement requires a data base of some kind to check ID’s against or else the man is TRAPPED.

Anyone with out the correct type of ID is TRAPPED.

A man Trap is 100% access control. It is a fence, a door, an army.

Anything, to stop unknown, MEN!

The Phantom is designed for assess denial, of contraband.

The Phantom system does not stop or detain MEN! Any MAN can enter and exit without hindrance. No ID is required. Through put may be a bit slow but no one is stopped.

The action is that of an airlock! Think underwater. How do you get out without flooding the place? An entrance door is closed and the unit pumped clear of water and filled with air. Then the exit door is opened to the air. The water area and the air area are separated

and safe from each other. Both exist, independently.

The Phantom recognizes the different areas of the second amendment world and the gun free zones [ by law ] of a school building or another facility. A man may traverse between these two environments but a gun, may not!

A gun or large amount of metal [ think, a hammer ][a large metal loose leaf note book ] [ possibly a large knife ] will not be able to traverse the unit. Small metal items, like a broach or earrings, or a bunch of bobby pins or keys or loose change or a small belt buckle, possibly a phone, will not be stopped.

The pickle is that these metal items that are restricted are attached to a MAN traversing the unit. If this man has forbidden contraband of some kind, the unit is automatically activated. The man AND his contraband are detained and some ‘real person’ is called to investigate the issue. If a gun is found to be the problem, both are detained by Law Enforcement. If a gun or other contraband is not the issue, the ‘real person’, releases the MAN, into the school or facility.

This approach insures that guns do not find their way into a classroom during class time.

The system is designed with the needs of school in mind.

We have determined [decided] that a shooter needs a target.

Without a gun both are safe.

School shootings inside the gun free zone do not happen during the morning cattle call or the afternoon cattle call.

The shootings happen during class time!

The shooter knows where the target is during that time and so plans accordingly.

The school should be in a lock down mode during class time. Late comers must be vetted

by the office during this time. Well, that’s not been happening.

Hence the operation of the phantom, designed for late comers. Not for cattle call.

The detection of contraband can have many types of sensors. If you know what you want to stop, come up with the correct sensor and walla, a new choke point.

We are making a product to protect schools from guns.

Our biggest hurtle is getting into a selling position with Schools.

Secondly, in an effort to lower prices we need to make our own ballistic plastic glass.

We need equipment to do so. If this takes off, we will need several more CAD router tables and other equipment as well and a new location. There are 3 partners involved. Bill owns Covenant Plastics and runs all plastic. Toby is a retired IT guy. He redesigns my ideas on the computer. Dick designed and built the original circuits and the basic   building design, to make the working prototype, work. All of us have higher education.

Dick is a Vietnam Vet. [avionics 7-9 level] BSLS experimental equipment, mFEL

There is TRAPPER llc; manufacturing.

Proactive Solutions llc; marketing / sales.

ARP Holdings llc; IP patent pending

TRAPPER leases the IP from ARP.

TRAPPER sells exclusively to PAS.

PAS sells to the public.

Other prospective customers are any one who has an unsecured back door, little used but access to a secure area.

The unit is automated and does not require babysitting. If activated, it can call someone.

History

I started my professional life in the USAF 1967.

I was in avionics.

I became a 7-9 level expert [permitted to teach] on the 141 aircraft autopilot.

This field was the beginning of understanding electronic control of

 mechanical movement.

I got out of the service and eventually received an Assoc EET and then a

BSLS. My concentration was in electronics.

In 1980 I was working in the early days of CCTV and received a patent

we called RANDOM SCAN.

In 1985 to 1995 I was a factory rep for OHMEDA-BOC working on everything

OHMEDA, concentrating on anesthesia machine electronics.

In 1998 to 2008 I worked at Vanderbilt on the mFEL. This was the 3rd model

Free Electron Laser answering the call of President Regain’s call for a missile shield.

I operated and repaired all systems designing and retrofitting the CCTV systems

used to operate the laser remotely as it was highly radioactive when on.

I was retired in 2008.

In 2013 I was requested to come up with a way to back up a software based attempt

to recognize school shooters. The company was Elite Behavior Analysis owned and directed by my nephew. The ‘why me’ came from a previous involvement with burglar

alarm systems and I was, ‘free’.

I came up with the back up plan of the invention and they scraped their program as

un-do-able. They gave me permission to follow up on my idea myself.

After several years of not finding funding and being told that you can not do that

I was introduced to Bill Roark, who can do that!

Toby Persson was a friend with IT knowledge.

We started forming TRAPPER llc in the fall of 2018.

A patent search was done.

The three of us developed the idea and filed for a provisional patent Dec 13th 2019.

We have a working prototype.

We filed a non- provisional application Dec 13th, 2020.

The first production model is in the works for early 2021.
